As Financial Crimes Deputy Director at Truist Financial Corporation (Truist), Cara Wick leads the Financial Crimes Model Analytics (FCMA) team in all aspects of BSA/AML and fraud model governance including transaction monitoring, customer risk rating, sanctions and fraud detection. Cara joined Truist in 2014 as a schedule manager for the Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) FR Y-14 schedules. Prior to Truist, she served as a Senior Consultant and Director of Marketing for Beneficial State Bank (p.k.a One PacificCoast Bank) in Oakland, CA. She began her banking career in San Francisco, CA as a commercial underwriter specializing in Small Business Administration (SBA) 504 loans.

A graduate of the American Bankers Association (ABA) Stonier Graduate School of Banking, today Cara serves as a Stonier Capstone Adviser. She received her MBA from the University of Iowa and her BA from Williams College. She is a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM) and an anti-money laundering specialist (CAMS).

Davies joined ComplyAdvantage in 2022. He has worked in the software industry for more than twenty five years supporting many of the world’s largest financial institutions, both private and public. Davies’ experience covers anti-money laundering, risk mitigation of financial crime risk, real-time payments, front office trading, settlement risk, and more. Davies previously worked for Logica and Nomura, the Japanese bank, in the London prior to moving to the US. Most recently he previously worked at Fiserv, in global market strategy for financial crimes risk management. He joined Fiserv through the acquisition of AML trailblazer NetEconomy. He has worked on many diverse programs including secure UK Government projects, distribution systems, trading systems, derivatives pricing projects and SWIFT connectivity for payment systems. 

Since moving to the United States, he has concentrated on financial crime detection systems and has worked with a variety of institutions to deploy such systems including the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, the Continuous Linked Settlement Bank, ING, ABN AMRO, Manulife Financial, Guardian Life, Deutsche Bank and the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi among others. As Aboitiz Data Innovation (ADI)’s Chief Commercial Officer, Guy plays a key role in continuing the advancement of ADI’s mission to drive the adoption of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence tools and solutions that can help reduce operational cost, drive effectiveness within financial crime processes, collections, alternate lending, data sharing processes, and ultimately accelerate more inclusive financing.

Guy has over 16 years of experience in Financial Crime, Cyber and Fraud having led Financial Crime commercial and markets teams for SWIFT in the Americas, UK and the Asia Pacific. In his career, he has worked for Bankers Almanac (now Accuity), Wolters Kluwer Financial Services, LexisNexis and with the Metropolitan Police Terrorist Finance Investigations Unit on a Joint Venture. As a recognized domain expert and speaker in Due Diligence, Fraud, Cyber and Sanctions technology assurance, he is also an active individual in the community, having held various positions such as being a former member of the Singapore FinTech Association’s RegTech sub-committee and Course Director for the Wealth Management Institute’s InfoSec Central Bank training programme.

Guy graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Medieval Literature from the University of Exeter and holds a Master of Arts in Marketing from Kingston University.

Cara joined Truist in 2014 as a schedule manager for the Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) FR Y-14 schedules. Prior to Truist, she served as a Senior Consultant and Director of Marketing for Beneficial State Bank (p.k.a One PacificCoast Bank) in Oakland, CA. She began her banking career in San Francisco, CA as a commercial underwriter specializing in Small Business Administration (SBA) 504 loans.

A graduate of the American Bankers Association (ABA) Stonier Graduate School of Banking, today Cara serves as a Stonier Capstone Adviser. She received her MBA from the University of Iowa and her BA from Williams College. She is a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM) and an anti-money laundering specialist (CAMS).

Passionate about banking, Cara also enjoys writing about it. She has contributed stories to the 'From the Vault' column of the ABA Banking Journal and occasionally writes for Truist’s internal blog. He is also responsible for seeking new markets and applications for ComplyAdvantage’s data, screening and monitoring solutions. 

Davies joined ComplyAdvantage in 2022. He has worked in the software industry for more than twenty five years supporting many of the world’s largest financial institutions, both private and public. Davies’ experience covers anti-money laundering, risk mitigation of financial crime risk, real-time payments, front office trading, settlement risk, and more. Davies previously worked for Logica and Nomura, the Japanese bank, in the London prior to moving to the US. Most recently he previously worked at Fiserv, in global market strategy for financial crimes risk management. He joined Fiserv through the acquisition of AML trailblazer NetEconomy. He has worked on many diverse programs including secure UK Government projects, distribution systems, trading systems, derivatives pricing projects and SWIFT connectivity for payment systems. 

Since moving to the United States, he has concentrated on financial crime detection systems and has worked with a variety of institutions to deploy such systems including the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, the Continuous Linked Settlement Bank, ING, ABN AMRO, Manulife Financial, Guardian Life, Deutsche Bank and the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi among others. Davies studied Pure Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Wales. He has worked with customers in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Australia, Africa and Asia. He is a respected industry speaker having presented at SIBOS, ABA events, CBA events, numerous webinars, and he is a frequent writer on industry issues and has contributed to articles in the American Banker, Credit Union Journal, finextra.com, PYMNTS.com among other publications and websites
